Pioneer Corporation, incorporated at 2-28-8, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo 113-0021, Japan, is responsible for data processing through electronic devices.
By your creating a Pioneer Cycle Sports account (“Account”), Pioneer can provide you access to additional services and can also store user preferences & usage history, enabling a better user experience. Pioneer collects and stores the information required to create the Account.
In order to create an Account, the minimum information required is your email address, password, user name and language (If you create the Account through a social media account, your e-mail address is optional and password is not required).
If you link your Account or the App with third party services such as social media (e.g. Facebook), Strava, TrainingPeaks, Today’s Plan and Ride With GPS, Pioneer will store a token provided by these services, which will enable you to access the services without logging in each time. This token is anonymized, which means that the token cannot be linked back to you or your user account on a third-party service provider site.
In addition to these data, Pioneer will process your email address, password, date of birth, gender, language, profile image, location, preferences, favorites usage history, cycle route, heart rate, altitude, speed, power, Cycle Computer settings, and analytics information. Pioneer will also process anonymized location data and will log each call of the App or of your device which browse the Website to the Services.
As explained below, Google LLC or its wholly-owned subsidiaries (collectively, “Google”) collects information about use of the Website and Services, such as how often you use the Website through the App or access the Services through the Website, as well as your session durations, in-screen activities, your device models/operating systems and geographical locations.
Operation of the App, the Website and the Services
The data collected by Pioneer is used for the purposes of Account administration, to deliver the requested Services, logging in to third party services, and direct marketing. The Services and the App or the Website allow you to link your Account with your accounts on other service providers. By doing this you avoid having to log into your accounts on third party service providers each time you want to share information with those services, and you allow those services to pull compatible ride data from the Services, which may include GPS location data, altitude, speed, cadence, power, heartrate, and other data. Services which use this account linking facility include social media (e.g. Facebook and Twitter), Strava, TrainingPeaks, Today’s Plan, and Ride With GPS. Your Account settings will not determine whether data pulled by those third-party services is publicly visible. You must manage public/private settings through those third-party services.
